DISC History
Diagnostic Imaging Specialists Corp. (DISC), is a world leader in custom design of detection devices in the radiation and medical sector. Located in St Malo, Manitoba (Canada) and founded in 1983, the company has continued to grow from the film era to the new CR/DR sector which strengthened its product line, over the past four decades.
Since the early 1980's, DISC's personnel have been active in the scientific community, collaborating with many Canadian and US Universities. Scientific publications and presentations establish a sound and credible foundation upon which our products are built. Its personnel continue to collaborate at the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg General Hospital and professional associations such as the American Association of Physicists in Medicine AAPM, ensuring current state-of-the-art knowledge and skills.

At DISC, we play a unique role in supporting healthcare facilities and professionals by providing technologies that deliver sound results to help achieve a better quality of healthcare for our families and fellow citizens. Every year, imaging systems from various manufactures rely on DISC products to ensure that the diagnostic and imaging information is always properly calibrated and adjusted for a continuously growing volume of medical imaging data.
DISC Quality
Quality control and calibration instruments provide the foundation on which DISC is built. In addition to these devices, DISC is an industry leader in the design and manufacturing of affordable radiation measuring systems for dose and non-invasive kV. This includes the comprehensive Radchex Plus Meter for X-ray analysis for entrance / exit dose as well as HVL, dose ratio, achieving ALARA principles. Our product warranty ensures our customers' full service and replacement. Our products are CE certified.

DISC's active R & D program is committed to offering new and improved x-ray detection devices used by manufacturers, physicists, and biomedical engineers. Innovative technology serves as the cornerstone for DISC's products.
